Greener Schools was founded by Karen Gray and Sarah Fraser with a dual mission to inspire and empower UK schoolchildren to become the climate champions of the future while also supporting their schools on their journey towards their sustainability goals.

KAREN GRAY
Karen achieved a Masters in Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing and Management Systems at the University of East Anglia before taking a volunteer role as an environmental advisor in the Houses of Parliament. She then spent 15 years as an Environmental Consultant for Mouchel, RPS and WSP, carrying out Environmental Impact Assessments for private and public infrastructure projects and also upgrading, developing and maintaining Environmental Management Systems. After a career break looking after her children she returned to work as a Senior School science tutor and a Primary School teaching assistant and is now combining this experience with her passion for, and experience of, environmental issues. She enjoys travelling and playing and teaching hockey.
SARAH FRASER
Sarah studied English, Business Studies, Politics & Economics and Media Studies at A Level and spent two decades in the music industry, working as a Copyright Associate for a global music publishing corporation, registering contracts, maintaining records, licensing for film and TV and managing royalties for over 330,000 of the world’s most famous songs and their writers. After having children, Sarah spent two years volunteering for a local community group while raising her young family. She then took a TA role and spent the next five years working in eduction in Enfield. She is passionate about working with children, the environment and protecting our green spaces and enjoys live music and festivals, hiking, camping, fitness, art and theatre.
