CLIMATE ACTION PLANS

Making schools more sustainable

All UK schools have been tasked by the government to put in place a Climate Action Plan to support their Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy for Educational Facilities.

A Climate Action plan sets detailed step-by-step actions for a school to embark on, or move forward with, their sustainability journey. It breaks down the often complicated topics into a series of identifiable and achievable goals. Many schools try to engage existing staff to carry out this task, but this can often be challenging due to time pressures within education and the need for specialist knowledge to understand, create and meet suitable targets and deliverables.

This is where we come in.

Helping you create a sustainable future

How we help

Expert analysis

Using industry-standard methods, we carry out a full site inventory, calculate emissions and develop an overview of your existing environmental status.

We use our expert knowledge, industry experience and make use of the tools, templates and resources available to create, implement and manage the most effective Climate Action Plan for your school.

Instant impact

We identify the ‘quick wins’ in all areas of the Climate Action Plan, enabling you to take action and achieve the most cost-effective instant impact.

Realistic and achievable targets

Using our experience and available tools, we develop a feasible action plan with realistic and achievable goals, aligned with government requirements.

Tailored activation and support

Climate Action Plans are only successful if they are well executed, so we offer scaling levels of support, tailored to your targets and budgets.

We apply economies of scale to deliver cost-effective improvements, connecting local schools and academies together on aligned goals.

How we do it

STEP 1

We undertake a free phone consultation to discuss your school, answer any questions on Climate Action Plans and determine how we can help within your budget and timeframe.

We take things step-by-step, working with you to provide Climate Action Plan support to meet your needs and budget.

STEP 2

Once an agreement is in place, we will arrange an initial site visit and carry our questionnaires to understand your baseline, identify potential quick wins and commence the development of your Climate Action Plan.

STEP 3

Use relevant available resources, such as energy audits and transport planning tools, to quantify your baseline, identify goals, evaluate potential collaborative cost-savings and develop your Climate Action Plan.

STEP 4

Prioritise tasks within the Climate Action Plan and work with your school on an ongoing basis to implement the actions required to achieve your sustainability goals.

Register your interest and we will get in touch to get the ball rolling.
