WORKSHOPS

Seriously fun environmental education

The next generation is leading the charge when it comes to climate change, but it is vital that we nurture this passion and empower individuals to turn it into action.

Our unique workshops combine curriculum-based topics with fun activities that will educate your pupils and help achieve the goals within your Climate Action Plan, putting your pupils at the centre of your efforts to become a more sustainable school. Supporting your pupils’ desire to prioritise the planet with memorable experiences will not only build their positivity and support for the school’s sustainability efforts, it will also equip them for a greener future beyond the school grounds.

Memorable moments that change the future

Live it. Love it. Remember it.

The 'outside' influence

The thrill of an external visitor to the school naturally heightens the engagement of pupils and can support greater intake of information.

Our workshops give kids a buzz about the key environmental topics, delivering curriculum-based learning through unforgettable memories. They include hands-on activities and carefully created content designed to go beyond normal classroom activities, empowering pupils to become more climate conscious and directly support your school’s sustainability goals.

Resources that resonate

We use our own in-house developed resources including presentations, videos, worksheets, quizzes and games to help bring topics to life.

Memorable moments

Specifically designed to create memorable moments connected to key facts, helping to better engrain the curriculum-relevant content.

Achievement rewards

We reward participants who are engaged in sustainable practices and challenge others to commit to actions to be rewarded in the future.

Each workshop gives pupils knowledge and responsibility to improve sustainability at school and home, focused on goals within the Climate Action Plan.

Hands-on activites
School improvement

Every workshop includes at least one active hands-on activity to get pupils up and moving, from a bicycle smoothie maker to build-your-own wind turbine kits.

Energy

Why energy is important, where it comes from and how we can reduce climate impact by improving efficiency and choosing the right sources.

Our workshops are not only aligned with the curriculum but each is targeted towards goals identified in the school’s Climate Action Plan. Every time we visit a school we not only inspire and educate the children, we also improve the school’s sustainability.

These are just some of the areas we focus on.

Resources & Waste

Where the Earth's resources come from, which materials are more sustainable, why we need to reduce waste and how we can eliminate excess.

Transport

The different modes of transport involved in school life, what problems it creates and how we can work together to reduce its impact.

Food

Where food comes from, why food origin is important, how sustainable different types of food are, and how our dietary choices can help the planet.

Water

Where water comes from, how we get it, why it runs out, how it gets polluted and what we can do at home and school to reduce our use.

Biodiversity

Why biodiversity matters, what makes a good environment for nature to thrive, how we can create these and why the world needs more wild places.

Workshop Options

ASSEMBLIES

A whole school or key stage assembly introducing the environment issues as a whole, or providing insight into a specific chosen environmental topic within the curriculum.

We want to deliver what is right for your school, so our first step is to understand your requirements and explore how our workshops could integrate with your existing learning plans. We can then offer a variety of packages.

YEAR GROUP CLIMATE ACTION DAY

For multiple-form entry schools, we will deliver a workshop to the entire year group on a single day on a class-by-class or full group basis, depending on the activities.

FULL SCHOOL CLIMATE ACTION DAY

The entire school gets taken over with an environmental focus, with age-tailored workshops for each class in turn and suggestions for teachers to integrate environmental topics into lessons on the day.

ANNUAL CLIMATE CAMPAIGN

We work with schools to integrate a programme of environmental workshops throughout the year, tailored to your time and budget. This achieves a long-term impact that can also support school Climate Action Plans.

SINGLE WORKSHOP

A one-off workshop on the general environment or a particular topic, in which we will deliver a workshop to a class of 30 pupils. This can be a good way to trial our programmes and experience the effect they have on your pupils.

Register your interest and we will get in touch to get the ball rolling.

Get your pupils excited about the environment.
